Every part is compatible with OEM. No modification on your bike except the front fork type is needed. Some tires are wide enough to touch fork covers or rub fork arms. Please refer to the specific wheel description.
Dishing/offsetting – the rim is moved to the left on spokes. You change the spokes/nipples alignment to be shorter/longer on each side to move the rim to the desired position. It’s a very common procedure, and most of our clients choose dished wheels.
Most of the parts are compatible with the SurRon Youth model as the model shares all geometry with a standard model. Please refer to the COMPATIBILITY tab on the product page.
Sure! Please get in touch with us before purchase so that we can deduct the cost of those parts.
Unfortunately, we cannot advise or recommend any tire other than ours. Tire models and brands are difficult to tell whether they will fit your bike without installing them first. To be 100% sure, please choose tire fitment on our website.
Currently, we don’t have CAMO tires in stock, but we are doing our best to put them back on sale. We cannot promise any date at the moment. Please sign up for our NEWSLETTER (at the bottom of the side) to get a notification when they are back in stock.
The best fork for 21″ wheels with fat off-road tires is an inverted upside-down type. For example stock DNM, FastAce or upgraded like Manitou Dorado. If you have a standard fork and would like to be more sure please contact us with your fork model.
We are about to start production for new wheel sizes. They will be available soon. Please subscribe to our newsletter to get notifications about new product releases.
For both Talaria&SurRon we recommend 2.15 with 80/90-16″ tire for the front and 2.50 with 100/80-16″ for the rear.
Any wider size for the front requires fork covers modifications and a great dish, which might affect the riding experience.
There are many cons and pros for both sets, but to make a story short 21″&18″ set is recommended for enduro or/and for tall riders, 19″&16″ set is recommended for motocross or/and for short riders.
All wheels come Plug&Play, and no modifications are needed except front fork covers. Some tires are wide enough to touch fork covers or rub fork arms. Please refer to the specific wheel description.
We offer the best quality/price tires on the market. If not specified, they are little-known Asian brands, light and durable, that fit perfectly SurRon/Talaria without any modifications on the bike. Intermediate Compound means that they are designed for both soft and hard terrain, meaning sand, dirt, pavement, rocks, water holes, woods etc.
Our wheels are more robust than stock wheels and strong enough to withstand more than what a Sur-Ron/Talaria bike can stand. Our main goal was to make the best price-quality offer on the market, and so far, it is the best. We also want to give customers alternative wheel upgrade options for expensive competitors’ products.
Stock Surron/Talaria has 19″ small tires and a 48T sprocket. 18″ Wide and Super Wide tires have the same diameter, so the top speed would be the same, but to compensate for the additional weight, we recommend upgrading to the larger sprocket.
16″ SuperMoto tires are a bit smaller than OEM, so in order to keep the top speed, we recommend a bit smaller sprocket, but to keep the exact dynamics, you can stay with 48T or go with the larger sprocket.
40T is designed especially for low-speed high torque upgraded powertrain systems (60V), so you can hit tons of mph
For off-road wheels, we choose 1.85 rim width – it is a perfect size for SurRon/Talaria because the widest possible tire that fits the bike will fit the rim.
For on-road wheels, we highly recommend using our combination available on the product site or at least with the exact sizes for each rim. Any other might not fit well – read more here.
Our wheels are equipped with OEM hubs which means they have OEM rotor bolt patterns – as long the bolt pattern matches your desired rotor bolt pattern, it can be used.
You can, but you don’t have to. 21″ will rise in front of the bike, but it will correct the head tube angle for a better front suspension angle of attack. You can compensate for it with a linkage riser.
Sure it will. X160/Youth version differs from the standard only by smaller wheels, powertrain and front fork. The frame or any other construction desing is the same.
Our 21″ wheels are based on standard market 1.60″ width size, so they will fit any 21″ off-road tire width.
All of our wheel sets are plug&play with standard SurRon/Talaria fork (DNM). If your bike has a different fork please TIRE FITMENT tab on the specific wheel product page for more info.
Sure, we do make custom tire fitment on special requests like sand/desert tires etc. Please contact us directly with your idea.
Yes, the 18″ wheel is almost the same. It has a smaller rim diameter but the same outer tire diameter, which means more rubber to work for you on trial.
It works for some riders, but in general, it is not a desirable combination as it tilts the whole bike to much the rear which makes it harder to manoeuvre.
It means that we cut the side knobs that would hit the chain. We use special tools to do it fast and cleanly. Nevertheless, we recommend dishing/offsetting as with trimming you loose corner traction.
What does trimming/trim mean?
As far as we know, DNM is the only fork capable of mounting two brake callipers.
It all depends on your preference. The wider you go the wider tire you can put the more grip you can have. The most common combo is 3.00″+ 2.50″ rims with 110 and 90 tires.
We cannot 100% guarantee but most of the aftermarket batteries are compatible with our Seat Lift.
Yes, it is compatible with most, if not all, brake callipers.
It all depends on the manufacturer and there is not one converter for all tires/models. Real-life sizes differ from than ones described. Please check specific products description or contact us for details.
We are getting ready to sell tubeless on-road sets. Stay tuned!
We do not recommend putting a wide tire to a narrow rim. They will most likely not fit. If you would like to go with a wider tire we recommend upgrading the rim to wider at least 1.60 and the best 1.85.
1.85″ rim width is the perfect size as it will fit the widest tire that will ever fit SurRon. There is no point going with a 2.15 rim.
Every part is compatible with OEM. No modification on your bike except the front fork type is needed. Some tires are wide enough to touch fork covers or rub fork arms. Please refer to the specific wheel description.
We use an OEM hub with a SurRon bolt pattern. Please double-check if you use the rear disk for the rear wheel because it differs from the front disk.
You need to either dish the rim or cut the knobs. Read more about dishing here.
Please make sure the axis of the wheel is straight in relation to the swing arm. In other words, ensure your lockdown axle blocks are both in the same place on both sides.
You need to use your existing hub spacers, sprocket, and brake disks from OEM.
Sure! As long the belt is farther or in the same position as the OEM chain, you can still use your upgraded belt kit. If the belt is closer to the wheel, it might rub with wide tires.
We intentionally take them off for shipping purposes. Please go to the manual page to get more information about how to plug them back.
You can, but you don’t have to. 21″ will rise in front of the bike, but it will correct the head tube angle for a better front suspension angle of attack. You can compensate for it with a linkage riser.
Our 21″ wheels are based on standard market 1.60″ width size, so they will fit any 21″ off-road tire width.
